[UPDATE: Taemin’s condition] SHINee’s Taemin diagnosed with swine flu

UPDATE: SM Entertainment has just released a statement that Taemin’s case of H1N1 is not serious. Take a breather fans, he will be fine in no time.

And it never ends… SHINee’s Taemin is the latest victim to have contracted the notorious swine flu.

Taemin was rushed to the hospital on the 25th after developing fever and was diagnosed to be H1N1 positive on the 26th.

SM Entertainment stated:

“Taemin has been diagnosed with swine flu. We will cancel all of his scheduled events and he will take a rest.”

Jonghyun and Onew have both recovered and now Taemin has fallen, with Key and Minho still safe. SM Entertainment seems to be plagued with swine flu, as three member from f(x) also tested postive for H1N1 recently but are recovering quickly.

YG Ent turns down proposal for Big Bang TOP to star in upcoming drama ‘Zero Plus’

Big Bang TOP, who has been promoting as actor recently, is known to have received a proposal to star in write Song JiNa’s new production.

And according to YG Entertainment said on 25th November through a phone interview, “We have received for TOP to star in Song JiNa’s new drama ‘Zero Plus’. But we have humbly declined the proposal due to TOP’s movie filming and Big Bang promotions.”

It is also added, “After the 20-episode drama ‘IRIS’ ends, TOP will immediately start work for his movie ‘In the GunFire’. Also, TOP will be busy with Big Bang’s Japanese promotions and concert performances in Korea, it is a shame that it will be hard for him to participate in ‘Zero Plus’.”

TOP will be starting work in the movie filming for ‘In the GunFire’ end-November after ‘IRIS’ drama filming. The movie also stars other actors like Cha SeungWon and Kwon SangWoo. The movie is about how student soldiers have risked their lives and showed courage for the country. It will be directed by Lee JaeHan who also directed movie ‘A Moment To Remember’.

Meanwhile, Song JiNa is known for her dramas like ‘The Story of the First King’s Four Gods’ etc

TVXQ JaeJoong voted as #1 Korean celebrity with blonde hair

Kim Hyun Joong and Jung YoungHwa are the MCs to new corner on MBC ‘Sunday Night’

SS501 Kim Hyun Joong and newcomer talent Jung YoungHwa have been chosen as the new MCs for MBC ‘Sunday Night’.

Kim PD said during a press conference on 23rd November, “Kim HyunJoong and Jung YoungHwa will be for the new corner on ‘Sunday Night’ called ‘Korea Ecosystem Rescue Centre, Hunters’ to be aired on 6th December.”

This will be a corner where celebrity MCs will go out to capture wild boars. The PD added, “Even right now, the MCs are working hard with the qualified professionals capturing the wilde boars in KyeongSan IlRyeong. Every week, the 7 MCs will get training for about 2D1N and go out to hunt for the wild boars. This week it will be IlRyeong, and next week it will be in AhnDong.”

The PD added, “There are about 170 thousand wild boars in our country, the population has increased 4x than before. If the government do not do something to control the population, it can pose as harm to the ecosystem in our country. We want to bring awareness about the ecosystem in our country and also bring down the population of wild boars through this show. The captured wild boars will either be given to nursing homes or given to the less fortunate to be eaten.”

The other MCs on the show are Hwang JungEum, Jung GaEun, Han JiMin and Han HyoJoo etc.

Kim Hyun Joong acting again

SS501 leader Kim Hyun Joong who showed off his acting skills or lack thereof on Boys Over Flowers is rumored to star in another Japanese drama remake (or possibly movie) titled You’re My Pet.

This drama better known as Kimi wa petto in Japan, was a very popular drama in 2003 and originally based off a manga (comic). The basic premise is that of a female editor (Su-Ae playing Ji Eun Ee) at a fashion magazine whom finds a good looking young man that ran away from home (Kim Hyun Joong playing Kang In Ho). When she finds him, she invites him to live with her in her home and she calls him “her pet.”

Since this drama (or rumored movie) lacks the star power of an F4, I don’t know if it’ll be really popular. But I’m curious to see if Kim Hyun Joong will improve on his acting skills from Boys Over Flowers. Some of his scenes were cringe-worthy at times so I hope he gets a lot better. SHINee headed to the Philippines

According to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), popular boy group SHINee along with rap duo Mighty Mouth will be heading to the Philippines on November 27th to perform a free K-pop concert for the fans. From the article:

“For Pinoy K-pop fans, November is the season to be jolly. To cap the year-long celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and the Philippines, the Korean Embassy will hold on November 19-27 the Korean Cultural Festival, which will let Filipinos have a taste of Korean food, dance, music, theater, and arts.

But the most-awaited event in the week-long festival is the free K-pop concert scheduled on November 27. It will feature popular Korean front acts like boyband Shinee, jazz band Winterplay, and energetic rap duo Mighty Mouth. In an email message to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Blaise Regacho, Executive Assistant on Economic & Cultural Affairs for the Korean Embassy, said the concert was borne out of several petitions by avid K-pop fans in the country, to bring Korean stars to the Philippines. Shinee was the first group they were able to get, she added.” – PEP

Good news for the K-pop fans in the Philippines. Hopefully SHINee’s Onew is fully recovered from swine flu before he heads to the country. TVXQ is one step closer to breaking up?

The three members of TVXQ who have taken legal action against SM Entertainment are planning to work by themselves, according to their legal counsel.

When Sports Seoul asked the three members’ legal counsel about SME demanding the three members to make a decision by the 12th, they were told:

“The three members are taking a break at the moment and are planning new projects. We do not plan on responding to SME’s press conference. SME was ordered by the court to submit relevant evidences and they have been ignoring this order for almost 3 months now and they also have not been following any other court orders. Conversations with SME will start when they start respecting the court’s decision. The court said that the three members may work on their own, so we do not need SME’s permission on that. We are also seriously considering making criminal accusations against SME.”

The three members are now planning their own projects separate from that of the five-member TVXQ and in no way related to SME. They also do not intend on responding to SME’s demand for an answer by the 12th. So what will be of TVXQ’s future? Stay tuned to allkpop as the TVXQ dispute has just taken a turn for the worse.
