Actress Go Ara will be making her official debut in Japan through a Japanese drama called ‘Magnificent Spy’. With Nagase Tomoya heading the drama, Go Ara will appear in the third episode playing a Korean actress — how fitting. In the drama, she plays a Korean actress who is the lead actress in a Korean-Japanese production. Although she will only be appearing for that episode, she is an important character who gives counsel and comfort to the genius swindler played by Nagase Tomoya.

She finished the filming during this month and although it was a very different atmosphere, she was able to show professionalism and be involved with the drama. This in turn drew applause from all those who around her who saw her hard work. Go Ara was given the love call by the producer because he saw that she had a certain charm about her and her Japanese was at a relatively high level. Hey, think if I go and place a love call, she’ll come “counsel and comfort” me too?

Kim Joon is Next on Mnet Scandal

kim joon

T-Max member and Boys Over Flowers actor Kim Joon is scheduled to appear next on the heartbreaking show Mnet Scandal. Photos of him and his very pretty make believe girlfriend have been released.

I know, I know. It just never ends, right? Haven’t we fangirls suffered enough? 2PM Thai hottie Nichkhun broke plenty of hearts on his date, while fellow 2PM member Taecyeon went all out and actually kissed his date. F.T. Island’s Lee Hongki and 2AM’s Jokwon and Seulong were also previously on the show. With the addition of Kim Joon, it looks like we’ll be sitting through some more torture. So go ahead and refill that Kleenex box, I won’t judge.

It has been confirmed that pretty Go Ara will be romancing TVXQ’s leader, U-Know Yunho in the new drama Heading to the Ground. She has been cast as the main girl Kang Hae Bin who works alongside Yunho’s character.

Go Ara’s character, Kang Hae Bin is a soccer agent that wants to be able to be recognized through her own strength in a man’s world. She is first captivated by Bong Gun’s (Yunho’s) kick and although they fight often, he ends up saving her life and they fall in love.

The producer said about Go Ara “She is overflowing with energy and her ability to show emotions is very deep. She is an actress that always gives an attempt at everything and grows in the process. I think that this drama will be able to be a big hit due to Ara. I’m really glad because the drama has become very fresh and entertaining.”

Go Ara herself mentioned about her excitement about being selected for the drama, “The script is so much fun that I read all of it up to the 10th episode in one sitting. I’m glad because this character is one that loves and grows throughout the drama.”

Another related news is that actress Lee Yoon Ji, who was once Kangin’s wife on MBC We Got Married will be playing an old friend of Yunho’s character and has feelings for him. She will thus play out a love triangle with Go Ara and Yunho in the drama.

Yun Ho, debut as an actor

As a struggling soccer player?

Yun-ho of DBSK has been cast as the male lead for the new MBC drama, “Headbutting the ground.” The story line of the drama is about a poor soccer player by the name of Cha Bong-goon who doesn’t have much besides hope and a warm heart. The drama will draw out the success story of Cha Bong-goon who comes face to face with death three times and always lived a hard life, but finally gets a taste of victory when he becomes a national soccer player.

The role of Cha Bong-goon was originally going to be played by Kim Rae-won, but due to his schedule to enlist in the army, the role was offered to Yun-ho. Although Yun-ho wasn’t their first choice, the production team of the drama explained that they cast Yun-ho for the role of Cha Bong-goon because he lived a similar life as the character in order to get where he is today.

Just like Cha Bong-goon, we heard that Yun-ho surpassed all the hardships and didn’t deter from accomplishing his dreams. We didn’t see the top star of Asia in Yun-ho but the character Cha Bong-goon we were in search of.

Yun-ho also explained his excitement for being cast as the male lead for a drama stating,

I really like the character of Cha Bong-goon. While I was reading the script I felt excitement inside of me and I want to express this feeling through acting.

Although Yun-ho’s opposite female role has not yet been confirmed, there is word that Koh Ara and Lee Yoon-ji are in the line-up. However, at this time this is only an assumption as Yun-ho is the only confirmed member of the cast as of yet. “Headbutting the Ground” is scheduled to air this coming September 9th.

Wonder girls know how to play the crowd in NY

Well, at least one of them.
It’s half way through the summer, and the Wondergirls are making some inroads into America by touring with the Jonas Brothers.

I have to say, the girls have really improved performing in front of such a massive tween audience. Although I find it unnecessary to give a tutorial for the world’s most simplest dance move (pointing and clapping), the girls have developed a good interaction with the crowd. Ye-eun is really dominating with her superb English skills and outgoing personality. She knows how to hype the crowd, while the others just kind of stand there and smile a lot.

This is probably also the highest quality video so far of a concert performance on their channel without much hand-cam shakiness.
