Battle of the kpop girl groups on Myx

Finally, the long wait of the Pinoy Kpop fanatics is over.It’s been years already when kpop was being introduced to the Filipino fans, thru the internet and some korean channels that can be seen in local cables here, but because of the patience of local kpop groups here, they have made Myx (a local music video channel in the Philippines) to feature some kpop videos and two of them are from 2ne1 and wonder girls. I think one of the main reasons why 2ne1′s video is being featured in some the Myx’s shows, is because Dara (aka Sandara Park) was a huge teenstar in the Philippines before going back to her native country and be a YG trainee.It’s kinda amusing because “fire” ( as of today) reached the #2 spot in Myx daily top ten, and is currently included in the top 10 in the international countdown of Myx. TVXQ’s Yoo-chun sporting new haircut

At the Thailand press conference for TVXQ on June 26th, Micky Yoo-chun was spotted with a brand new haircut. Netizens are just fascinated with the fact that his new do looks exactly like what his momma sports. Perhaps, he decided to go to his mom’s stylist.

It’s not as questionable as his ahjumma cut from a while back, or edgy like his “Mirotic” sweep. Although it makes him look like a really wholesome looking girl, I personally think he looks quite good and this is probably the most normal haircut he has had in a while. News on SS501 collection album

After a busy year of acting, solo and unit activities, and overseas promotions, Korean boy band SS501 are back as a five-member group for their new K-pop mini-album Collection. This time they’re working separately but together to present a collection of five solo tracks that showcase each member’s talent and charisma. Fans get to see and hear new sides of the members through leader Hyun Joong’s edgy R&B dance track “Be Nice to Me, Please”, Young Saeng’s beautiful self-penned ballad “Nameless Memory”, Kyu Jong’s light and energetic urban pop song Wuss Up, Jung Min’s emotional mid-tempo ballad “If You Can’t”, and Hyung Jun’s sexy dance number Hey G. Taeyang and TOP sing for Chingoo

I have been bringing you every update about the upcoming drama, “Chingoo (Friend), Our Legend” airing on June 27th, from their still-cut to behind-the-scenes photos. Why? Because it is going to be epic. Now, I bring you one of the OST songs from the drama soundtrack, featuring Big Bang’s TOP and Taeyang.

To tell you the truth, I was expecting a more serious, dramatic group or solo artist to sing the main theme song, not an idol group like Big Bang. Hey, but after listening to the song, I was quite impressed. We’ll have to see how this song will match with the intensity of the drama. This is the first time for any member of Big Bang to be featured in an OST, and for this special occasion, Teddy from 1TYM and TOP worked together to create the ultimate theme song for this highly anticipated drama.

Earlier, super popular Taiwanese girl group S.H.E, in collaboration with A8 Music and through the wireless music club of China Mobile, released their first digital album [Map of Love]. Other than eight carefully chosen love songs, what grabbed most attention were of course the two brand new singles – [Locking in Time] and [Long Live Adorableness]. In just a few short days, the two songs already were warmly received by countless netizens and fans.

[Locking in Time] continued the trend of S.H.E’s love songs and had the potential to become a popular karaoke song.

[Long Live Adorableness] could be considered to be the companion song to [Don’t Want to Grow Up], their hit song from several years ago. It was also another attempt into techno-dance song from S.H.E. Combining Euro-bit dance rhythm, energetic singing and the most fashionable electro-pop style of the West, it was strong and forceful. Regardless of song or arrangement, it was more complicated than [Don’t Want to Grow Up]. Therefore it might more or less affect how people would receive it. Of course, the main point of this song was really its value as a conversation starter.

Browsing through the entire [Map of Love], whether it was new songs or old songs, none of them were really earth-shattering classics. 2PM to release first overseas album

2PM will release an official album in Thailand leading the ‘Thailand Korean wave’.

2PM will release a ‘2PM Thailand Special Edition’ which will include 2 CDs with songs from their 1st single ‘Hottest time of the day’ and their new single ‘2:00PM Time for Change’ together with a DVD containing the group’s MV.

The DVD will include the MVs ‘10 points out of 10′ and ‘Again & Again’ which had both taken the boys up to the #1 spot on Thailand MTV and Channel V chart.

Recently 2PM member Nich Khun has also been in the limelight for doing CF modelling in Thailand.

2PM talked about releasing an album in Thailand, “We are very excited to release an overseas album, it is even more exciting that we are releasing in Thailand where we have won 3 #1s on their charts this year. We are looking forward to meeting our fans in Thailand for our promotions there.”

Meanwhile the boys are promoting their latest hit ‘I Hate You’.

Korea’s SS501 arrives in TW, fans, enthusiasm paralyzes airport traffic

SS501, who’ve fans have been eagerly waiting for, has finally arrived in Taiwan, over 100 fans greeted them enthusiastically; the 5 boys came out dressed in casual wear, and greeted everyone with kind and courteous smiles, immediately winning over the hearts of everyone present.

When the 5 boys were leaving the airport to board their car, they slowed down to shake hands with fans, causing a huge jam at Terminal 1, as there were too many people present, Leader Kim Hyun Joong’s chest even got hit by fans. When the 5 of them boarded their car and left, the didn’t forget to wave to the fans through the window, fans crowded around the vehicle, causing the traffic to come to a standstill, and required help from the police to guide the traffic.

After SS501 arrived at their hotel and had a short break, they began their string of promotional activities. Their first meal in Taiwan was a simple one in their hotel, they’ll proceed to the famous Din Tai Fung for dinner, to taste the Xiaolongbao that all Korean artistes who’ve visited Taiwan before praise about, experiencing Taiwan’s most famous delicacy. The management company also specially requested, apart from Xiaolongbao, lots of fried noodles and fried rice should be prepared for the 5 boys.

Even though it’s their first time coming in to Taiwan, SS501′s 3 day 2 nights visit to Taiwan will comprise of a total of 20 media interviews, their schedule is very packed, having only 1 hour to eat Din Tai Fung’s Xiaolongbao, something which they’ve been eagerly waiting for, on the average they’ll work till 11pm daily, with 1 day having to work till 1am. But SS501′s members confidently express, they’re young and hard working, they’re not afraid even if there are more activities!

The main goal of SS501′s trip is to take part in tomorrow’s 7pm fan meeting at Taipei International Convention Center, the tickets for the fan meeting has already been sold out long ago, tomorrow there will also be Japan and Korea fans crossing the ocean, and take part in the fan meeting together, it’s expected the scene will be extremely magnificent.

After the fan meeting, SS501 will leave Taiwan on the 29th, proceeding on to Hong Kong, their 2nd stop for the Asia Tour fan meeting.
